Gas Oil
Gas Oil also known as diesel distillate; is commonly used as fuel to power diesel engine vehicles and machinery such as generators. The critical parameter for diesel is the cetane index. The import requirement for cetane index in Ghana is a minimum of 42.
Bulk Distribution Companies (BDCs)
These are companies licensed by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) to do business as bulk distributor of refined petroleum products. These BDCs in turn supply their products to Oil Marketing Companies who retail nationwide. The major BDCs in Ghana are Fueltrade, Cirrus, Chase, ECO, Vihama, Springfield, Ebony, Oilchannel, Dominion, Alfa Petrol, Peace, Blue Ocean, TOR, PWSL, Hask and Firstdeepwater
